I have become almost numb to what is happening in our country.
Who would have ever believed a beauty contest winner could lose her crown because she believes marriage should be between a man and a woman?
Or our soldiers would have to fight a war by reading Miranda rights to the enemy?
Or the government could fire the CEO of a private company … take it over by putting whomever they want on the board … tell them what to make and how to make it … and dictate who can and who can’t sell the products?
What is happening here?
And to top all that off, we’re going to pay huge new energy bills because of this cap and trade nonsense. If the Senate doesn’t stop this, hold on … there will be so many businesses closing and unemployment will go so high it may take our lifetime and our children’s lifetime to recover.
But the insanity doesn’t stop there …
How about contracting a bad case of nationalized health care? Can you spell e-u-t-h-a-n-a-s-i-a? And with trillions in debt and unfunded “benefits” already, where is the money going to come from for all these big government programs?
Oh, how I fear for our kids and grandkids! Remember when each generation had it better than the one before? Sadly, those days may be over if we don’t correct this situation at the ballot box next time around.
Our Founders fought and won their war against government control, high taxation without representation, and oppressive regulation over their lives against much greater odds 233 years ago. Now it’s our turn.
